Palace Digital Studios was asked to create an on air
graphics package for OLN's coverage of the Louis Vuitton
Cup, one of OLN's flagship programming events and the
premiere race leading up to the America's Cup. The artistic
challenge was to maintain the classic look and feel
of yacht racing while appealing to the station's younger
viewers. Joe Paccia created 3D models in Softimage which
were then used as elements in the open. Jennifer Occhicone
designed the open, as well as bumps, internal graphics
and promo elements. Later, original music was scored
to the design of the open.
